Outback Jack's Surf Guide is a mobile surf school providing a wide range of lessons from novice to advanced level surfer, including private lessons and guided tours. As your surf tour guide, Jack will help you gain vital surf safety knowledge, ocean awareness and skills, drills and techniques to improve your surfing safety. Outback Jack's operates at multiple locations throughout County Sligo and County Donegal on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Eala Bhán Restaurant
Eala Bhán Restaurant offers a fine dining experience. The décor at Eala Bhán has an urban, brasserie and bistro feel with dark wood floors, subtle lighting, well spaced tables and an elegant vibe. The restaurant provides a menu that is classic with a contemporary twist. Produce is organic whenever possible, and the ingredients are sourced from the best of local produce. All the seafood is hand selected and all of the steak cuts stand tall with the superb flavour of aged beef. Dishes are aimed to be creatively prepared to perfection. Menus include lunch, afternoon tea, a fine dining dinner and an exclusive seven course tasting menu for a special night out. An early bird menu is available daily. Tubbercurry Golf Club
This picturesque 9-hole golf course at Tubbercurry, County Sligo, is centrally located, just 15 minutes from Knock Airport and 30 minutes from Sligo Town. The 6,200yd course has full clubhouse facilities.
Strandhill Golf Club
Strandhill Golf Club was founded in 1931 and had a 9-hole course open for play in 1940. Play on the present 18 holes commenced in 1973. The clubhouse has been updated on a number of occasions and is now regarded as one of the best in the West of Ireland. With Knocknarea Mountain in the background, it has stunning views over the course, the rolling Atlantic Ocean and the setting sun.

Carraig Climbing
Carraig Climbing aims to provide an exceptional, exhilarating and educational rock climbing experience on the rock faces around Sligo. They will supply you with a climbing harness, helmet and specialised climbing shoes. The staff are fully qualified, experienced and insured and use the highest quality safety equipment. You do not need any previous climbing experience. People of all ages, abilities and walks of life are encouraged to try climbing. The tours are developed with complete beginners in mind, however there is something for the more experienced climber as well. Carraig Climbing tours generally have no more than six climbers and they closely follow the leave no trace policy. This means they make less of an impact on the natural environment as well as giving climbers a more intimate experience on their adventure.
Waterfront Restaurant at Waterfront House
The menus at Waterfront House in Enniscrone, County Sligo, have been designed to incorporate the freshest and locally sourced produce where possible. Guests can enjoy high quality produce and seasonal specials. Alongside delicious dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, Waterfront House has panoramic views of the golden sandy beach at Enniscrone. Guests can savour a memorable meal while watching surfers in action or, if they are really lucky, a beautiful sunset over Killala Bay. The menus at Waterfront House also cater for vegetarians and vegans. Diners are provided with a carefully selected wine menu, a selection of beers and spirits, and locally roasted coffee from Carrow Coffee Roasters, based in County Sligo.
The Belfry Pub and Embassy Bar & Grill
The Belfry Pub offers a lunch menu including carvery or á la carte dishes. The Snipe cellar bar bites menu is available from 15:00–21:00, while the Embassy Bar & Grill is open in the evening and on Sunday for Sunday Lunch. At night the Belfry is a pub to unwind.
Beach Bar Surf School
The Beach Bar surf school offer adult lessons, kids lessons and SUP lessons. Equipment is also available for hire, this includes wetsuits, boots and surfboards. Beginner Lessons Lessons are for children aged 7+ and are 2hrs long with half an hour on the beach and 1.5hrs in the water. All equipment is included, all you need to bring is a towel and a swim suit. You will need to be able to swim however a qualified instructor will be in the water at all times so no great skill is required. There are showers and changing facilities on site. Camps Kids camps take place suring the summer months of July and August. They last 3hrs a day. At the camps children will learn valuable information about the ocean as well as learning to surf. These usually take place from 10am-1pm. All their surf instructors are ISA (Irish surfing association) qualified and have completed child protection courses and have an extensive knowledge of the beach and surrounding areas so you’re in good hands. Intermediate lessons Intermediate lessons are also offered if you want to take your surfing to the next level. The school’s instructors have ISA level 2 qualifications so they can help you develop into a more confident and more proficient surfer. SUP Lessons Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) lessons or hire is also offered. This can be a great way to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding area. Lessons are 2hrs and include all equipment. Groups are limited to 3 people so you will get the instructors undivided attention to ensure you’re safe. Winter Surf lessons The Beach Bar surf school offers the unique experience of surf lessons during the winter months. Equipment hire is also available during this time just ring to organise a time and price. The Surf School is located right at the waters edge at Aughris Beach. It is also located right beside the world renowned Beach Bar pub where you can grab a pint and some great food after your exhilarating surf lesson. So whether you are a beginner, experienced, want to get your children into surfing or just looking for a fun activity for the day The Beach Bar surf school has you covered.
Gleniff Horseshoe
The Gleniff Horseshoe, near Ballintrillick, County Sligo, is a small single lane 10km route brimming with breathtaking scenery as the Dartry Mountains tower above you on either side. Two of the mountains in this mountain range include Benbulben and Truskmore. Visitors are also rewarded with stunning coastal views of Donegal Bay. Make a stop at Magic Hill where the laws of gravity are defied when you release the handbrake, your car rolls up the hill. Just over 25km from Sligo Town, Gleniff Horseshoe is an enchanting route, steeped in history and folklore, and is an ideal destination if you want to see some of County Sligo’s rugged mountains.

National Surf Centre Strandhill
The National Surf Centre Strandhill in County Sligo, provides a thrilling experience which extends the surfing and outdoor activity season for visitors to Strandhill and the wider surfing community. It is a modern, purpose built architecturally designed building situated along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way. Overlooking the waterfront, fully serviced changing, shower and locker facilities are provided. There is extensive ground floor space that is used for surf class training and demonstrations. The National Surf Centre Strandhill is the first of its kind in Ireland and is home to three surf schools, the County Sligo Surf Club and has a bespoke surf retail experience. The first floor also has a multi-functional room space with impressive coastal views.

The Hamilton Gallery
Hamilton Gallery is located on the first floor of No. 4 Castle Street, a listed Victorian building in the heart of Sligo. The gallery was established by Martina Hamilton in 2010, to present art exhibitions by emerging and established Irish artists to collectors and art lovers in the region. The gallery hosts monthly exhibitions which are open to the public from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. In addition to our exhibition calendar we present an extensive collection of fine art limited edition print and sculpture by Irish artists.

Hargadon Bros
Hargadon Bros is a famous and much loved traditional bar in the centre of Sligo Town, which incorporates a busy restaurant with quality chefs, producing lunch and evening meals Tuesday to Saturday. For a hearty lunch and evening dinner, Hargadon Bros has established itself as a special venue where good quality home cooked food is served in a friendly atmosphere. Hargadon Bros use organically produced food where at all possible. All the food is sourced locally and Hargadon's is proud to list its local suppliers on the menu. The salads and vegetables are home grown by the owner in Sligo. Hargadon's has been recommended in the Michelin Guide for dining in pubs, was a previous winner of both the Good Food Ireland Pub of the Year and Georgina Campbell Pub of the Year.
The Strand Bar & Restaurants
The Strand Bar is popular with young and old, families and friends. Carrowtemple
Just outside the village of Gurteen, about 35km south of Sligo Town, people can visit Carrowtemple, an early-Christian site featuring an enclosure and drystone walled souterrain chambers. Visitors can also view the ruins of a medieval church, both new and old graveyards and a collection of fascinating inscribed slabs.

Hyde Bridge Gallery
The main objective of the Hyde Bridge Gallery in Sligo Town is to sponsor and encourage all artistic endeavour within the community. It also provides space for the exhibition of contemporary art, and provides a forum for all artistic endeavour. Located by Douglas Hyde Bridge on the Garavogue River, a new initiative by the gallery is the National First Solo Exhibition Opportunity Award which gives artists who have never mounted a solo exhibition an opportunity to do so. Another popular exhibition is the Annual North Western Artists Open Submission event held each autumn. The Hyde Bridge Gallery is housed in the Yeats Memorial Building. Also worth visiting here are the Yeats Photographic Exhibition and the library which provides reading and learning space for students who wish to consult its unique collection of books, and to listen to and view the DVD collection of lectures given at Yeats Summer Schools over more than 40 years. School tours are welcome at Yeats Art Gallery.
Sligo Regional Sports Centre
Sligo Regional Sports Centre offers facilities to suit all the family’s recreational and leisure needs, including a 25 metre indoor heated pool and kids pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room also a well air conditioned fitness suite and a large sports hall. The centre also offers a spin cycle studio as well as an outdoor Astro-Turf pitch. Also, the sports centre offers courses in swimming, aerobics, aqua fit sessions, etc. Why not come and see it for yourself!
