Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have rights over the personal data we hold about you. Exercising them is free.
Do it yourself, straight away
If you have an account, sign in and open your account page. Under “Your data” you can:
- Download your data — everything listed below, as a file (access and portability, Articles 15 and 20).
- Delete your account — the account and all of its data, immediately (erasure, Article 17).
Ask us
For anything else — correcting data, restricting or objecting to processing, erasing data from analytics, or if you cannot sign in — email compliance@winsomeplanet.com with:
- which right you are using (access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability);
- the email address on your account, and write from that address if you can — it is how we confirm the request is yours;
- anything that helps us find the data (for example, the date you sent a contact message).
We reply within one month, as Article 12(3) requires. If a request is unusually complex we may need up to two more months, and we will tell you within the first month if so.
What we hold
- Your sign-in account — your email address and name, if you gave one.
- What you save — travel preferences, saved trips with their itineraries and chat messages, and records of PDFs you generated.
- Daily usage counts — how many plans you made today, to apply the fair-use limit.
- A waitlist entry, if you joined one.
- Contact-form messages — these arrive as email to our inbox; they are not stored in the site's database.
We do not hold payment details — the site takes no payments. Analytics, where you have allowed it, are not linked to your account. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
If you are not satisfied
You can complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission, or to the data protection authority where you live.
