The bathing season runs from 1 June to 15 September. Outside it the water is not tested weekly and lifeguards are not on duty. The last sample, on 1 September 2026, was excellent. Live status on beaches.ie, which the EPA updates hourly in season.

Seafield, Quilty is a sandy beach, located in a rural area along the south-west coast of County Clare and 3km west of Quilty village. The main activity at Seafield is swimming. Motorised watercraft, surfing and the use of canoes and kayaks is prohibited in close proximity to swimmers. Beach bye-laws are in place with horse riding and dogs prohibited between 11am and 6pm during the summer season.

Excellent (2025): The highest standard: results over four years were consistently very clean.
